Sherri Slone has resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the past
seven years. She earned her degree in 1991, with honors, at Louisiana
State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Interior Design.
She is a professional Water-skier by trade. Her current industry
sponsors include Mastercraft Boat Company, ICONN Waterskis,
Wet-Tech Wetsuits, Speedo, The MVP Shuttle, and Bennett's Water Ski School. Sherri
has been a member of the United States Waterski Team since 1987,
and her travels include Europe, Asia, Australia, and most of South
and North America. Slone is a World Record Holder, World Champion,
and 25 time professional champion.
Sherri has been featured on ESPN, ESPN2, Prime Network, and CBS.
She has also been published in Women's Sports Traveler, Sports
Illustrated for Kids, and numerous water sports magazines. She
is also a staff writer for water Ski magazine and The Waterskier.
Slone is currently the Vice-President of the Women of Water-skiing
(WOW). An all encompassing entity that offers the very best in
women's waterskiing, WOW has a unique combination of the: WOW
Tour, that offers the top 20 woman waterskiers in the world to
host the world's premier women water ski events on an international
stage and the WOW Foundation which in a non-profit organization
focused on giving to communities and charities through educational
seminars and charitable contributions. WOW is a group of well
educated, beautiful, dynamic women whose extraordinary talents
blend with their vision and caring for the future of the sport.
Sherri is the head instructor at Bennett's Water Ski School in
Baton Rouge, LA. Sherri also owns a Shar-pei named Rolls-Royce,
she is currently getting actively involved in becoming a breeder
of Shar-pei's. Sherri also enjoys snow skiing, cycling, renovating
homes, snorkeling, family, and friends.
