Born:13 April 1959 Tadley, England
Education:
- BSc (Physics) Manchester UK 1979
- MSc (Computer Science) Belfast UK 1980
- PhD (Robotics) Oxford UK 1984
Occupation:
Various, sometimes Managing Director of a Company, sometimes unemployed (like now!).
Background:
As of 6th Aug 2002, I have approximately 2600 jumps and a suite of unbroken records: 3 FAI World Records, 1 Guiness World Record, and 1 Australian record. I was also on various other world, country and state records that have since been broken. I have 6 medals from the Australian National Championships over the last 7 years. I own a Javelin with an Icarus VX 89 main. I am an instrument rated private pilot with more than 550 hours and I own a '77 Cessna 182 and a '81 Beechcraft Bonanza A36.
I was born in the UK of Australian parents. I have one older sister Helen who has around 500 jumps. I grew up in Scotland 10 miles from an airforce base and was a regular attendee at every airshow. This is where I saw my first parachute jump! I have always loved airplanes and anything that flies (I am also a keen bird watcher!).

As you all know, we have to buy a case of beer for a first, as well as a few other things, like a reserve ride or going low! Here is a list of some of the things I have had to buy beer for! I have so far bought 88 cases or 2,112 beers for all of these events, give or take a case or two!!! People may remember me as Lee Boswell.

Canopy Collision Accident
On April 18, 2003 Lee was involved in a canopy collision with a jumper that followed out the 6-way she was on. Neither jumper cutaway or deployed their reserve.
Lee was seen limp in the harness spinning to the ground. She was
unconscious, as she was the current world record canopy stack holder and would have responded correctly if she was able. She was involved in many a wrap. If she was able, she would have simply cut away and deployed her reserve.
She was the Managing Director Australasia of Axway, a European company.
