Weedeater Binding?

Is your weed eater constantly binding and breaking with rewound cord?

I have a solution. Spray some WD-40 onto the rewound spool before reinstalling it. This allows it to feed out without breaking.

It also helps to rewind the cord as flat as possible. I always did that but it still broke and bound itself. I was stopping every 10 feet of trimming to rethread the spool. The WD-40 made all that obsolete.

I use a Toro weed-eater with a bump feeder.

Owner's Manuals do not tell you about this tip because Toro, Poulan, Black and Decker want to sell you the pre-wound spools.
